All their hats are handmade in Ecuador and finished by an experienced team in Bristol, England. Passed down from generation to generation, in 2012 UNESCO named the art of Panama Hat weaving an “Intangible Cultural Heritage”. 

Panama hats are also known as Ecuadorian hats – a traditional style made from the leaves of the Toquilla Palm that grows along the Ecuadorian coast. If it isn’t from Ecuador and woven from the toquilla palm, then it isn’t a Panama hat!

First made during the 1800s, they were made famous and shipped from Panama around the world before becoming the iconic style known today. A timeless aesthetic, the classic Panama hat colour combination features bleached white straw and a black band.
