The Riverina Hat
The Riverina gets its name from the famous agricultural region of south-western New South Wales, famous for its hot and unforgiving climate. Hence, this hat is ideal for those who work outdoors. Measuring 102mm, the wide brim slopes down at the front and back, keeping both face and neck shielded from the sun.
As a work hat, the Riverina is unlined internally. Three triangular shaped eyelet vents each side of the crown provide ventilation to keep you cool in the heat.
Like all Akubra hats, the Riverina is crafted by hand in Australia. Taking six weeks to make, construction involves traditional processes that have hardly changed in 140 years. Comprising 100% rabbit-felt fur, all Akubra hats are water-resistant. The Riverina is an ideal outdoors companion, whether rain or shine.
Details include a six-plait woven leather band, as well as brass fittings bearing the iconic Akubra name.
Since its introduction in 2011, the Riverina has proved very popular among both men and women. Its wide, stylish brim even makes it a stylish accessory to a country show.
