Do not miss Scotland’s Greatest Celebration of Country Life
Every summer, the Royal Highland Show transforms the outskirts of Edinburgh into one of the UK’s most exciting countryside events. Returning in 2026, the show once again promises four packed days of agriculture, food, rural traditions, shopping, entertainment and family fun. Whether you are a regular visitor or planning your first trip, the Royal Highland Show offers something for everyone — from prize-winning livestock and world-class equestrian events to artisan food producers and one of the best shopping villages on the show circuit.
For lovers of the countryside, farming heritage and quality country clothing, it remains one of the highlights of the calendar, and Elm of Burford is delighted to be returning with our latest collections of premium countrywear, footwear and outdoor essentials.
We will be on Stand 4TH 18(C)

The Grand Parade
One of the defining spectacles of the Royal Highland Show is undoubtedly The Grand Parade. A longstanding tradition and a true celebration of Scottish agriculture, the parade brings together the finest prize-winning livestock from across the country. Watching champion cattle, sheep and horses make their way around the Main Ring is an unforgettable experience and a reminder of the craftsmanship, dedication and heritage behind British farming.
The grandstands fill quickly during the weekend, so arriving early is highly recommended if you want the best view of the action.
Scotland’s Larder
Food lovers should make a beeline for Scotland’s Larder, one of the most popular areas of the showground. Here you will discover an incredible collection of local producers, artisan makers and independent brands showcasing the very best of Scottish food and drink.
From handmade cheeses and smoked salmon to craft gin, preserves and baked goods, there are endless opportunities to sample regional specialities and take home something delicious. It is also the perfect place to meet the people behind the products and hear the stories behind Scotland’s thriving food scene.
Showjumping and Equestrian Events
The equestrian programme at the Royal Highland Show always attracts top riders and talented horses from across the UK. The showjumping arena is packed with excitement throughout the event, offering thrilling competitions and impressive displays of horsemanship.
Whether you are deeply involved in the equestrian world or simply enjoy watching elite competition, the atmosphere around the ring is always electric.

Forestry Arena and Rural Skills
The Forestry Arena continues to be one of the most entertaining areas of the showground. Expect breathtaking pole climbing demonstrations, axe throwing competitions, chainsaw carving and displays of traditional rural skills.
The arena perfectly captures the spirit of countryside life, blending heritage crafts with adrenaline-filled entertainment. It is also a fantastic area for families, with plenty happening throughout the day.
The Countryside Area
Set around its own picturesque loch, the Countryside Area is a wonderful place to slow down and explore some of Scotland’s rural traditions. Demonstrations and interactive displays showcase everything from country sports and fishing to poultry keeping and beekeeping.
The beautifully landscaped setting makes this one of the most enjoyable parts of the showground to wander through, with plenty to see at every turn.
Sheep Shearing and The Forge
The sheep shearing competitions remain one of the show’s most fascinating attractions. The speed, precision and endurance of the competitors are genuinely impressive, and the atmosphere around the shearing pens is always lively.
Nearby, The Forge offers another must-see experience. Visitors can watch farriers competing in horse-shoeing and blacksmithing competitions, demonstrating incredible craftsmanship and traditional techniques that have been passed down through generations.

The Shopping Village
For many visitors, the shopping village is every bit as exciting as the livestock and competitions. The Royal Highland Show has become one of the best destinations in the UK for country shopping, bringing together premium brands, artisan makers and independent retailers from across Britain.
The Home & Gift Hall is always worth exploring, offering everything from interiors and homewares to handcrafted gifts and luxury accessories. It is the ideal place to discover new brands alongside established favourites.
Elm of Burford will once again be exhibiting at the show with a carefully selected range of premium country clothing, footwear and outdoor essentials for 2026. Visitors to our stand will be able to browse the latest collections from some of the most respected names in countrywear.
Expect to see iconic Australian brands including R.M. Williams boots, jeans, belts and clothing, alongside our much-loved Akubra hats. We will also be showcasing the newest Schöffel Country collections, practical and stylish Sasta Gore-Tex outerwear, Ariat western boots and clothing, and durable Rossi work boots designed for life outdoors.
The shopping village at the show is about discovering craftsmanship, heritage and quality. Whether you are looking for practical outdoor wear, investment pieces for the countryside or gifts to take home, there is something to suit every visitor.
